i forgot how amazing it is.
and how heartbreaking and devastating and brutal and beautiful it is.
when young hilary runs off stage after her sister jackie gets far more recognition and praise, even though they both won the same award.
when jackie gets cold and angry upon hearing that hilary and kiffer will marry.
when hilary finds jackie naked, bleeding, screaming, and crying in the woods.
when hilary forces her husband to sleep with jackie, because jackie cant cope with being alone and unloved.
when jackie starts to fall victim to ms.
its like watching a trainwreck in slow motion.
you just cant look away.
and lord knows i love controversy. this movie SWAM in it.
not to mention, jacqueline du pré's most famous piece, elgar's cello concerto in e minor, is played multiple times throughout the movie. and it just so happens to be my favorite classical piece EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER!
so beautiful. and it 100% reminds me of the movie, and jacqueline's life.
watch. now.
TODAY I watched hilary and jackie, AND HERES WHAT I THINK.
