• Someone once told me,”don’t loose yourself in all the little details. Focus on the big picture, the goal, the life you want.” Well, I disagree. When we focus on only the big picture, we forget about the way in which we get there. The way in which we obtain our goal is just as important as the goal itself. The manner in which we conduct ourselves is vital to who we are as a whole. The most beautiful creations of life came from the darkness of pain. Once you escape into the light, you find it is all beautiful. I believe music is the perfect example of such creation. Some of the most beautiful and powerful music comes from the deepest moments of despair that an artist goes through. For example, I am currently listening to Live's "Lightening Crashes". You can hear the captivating, raw, pure emotion that he expresses. He feels pain every second of the song, but still its beautiful. This is why I love music; it has the power to take a horrific, ugly situation and make it beautiful, fascinating, captivating and give the listener what we all search for: hope.
