• today i started my blog. my marching band banquet is tonight, i'm stoked. kinda nerdy, right? whatever. i think i'm pretty cool. so yeaa. my music choice o' the day! Miss Misery (early version from NEW MOON) by Elliott Smith. this song is so good. onnnnnnnnnnnnnthereeeeeeeal. if you like Bright Eyes, and Heatmiser and Elliott Smith, you're probably right. :D i haven't heard the newer version, as i have yet to waltz number two through my eliott smith discography i newly "purchased;]" but give Elliott Smith a shot. :D tryyyy it you'll liiiiike it. and today my reviews are of the following songs! NEW- FALL OUT BOY- ALPHA DOG OLD- SEEN HOW THINGS ARE HARD- ELLIOTT SMITH Alpha Dog- for HARDXCORE falloutboy listeners like yours truly, this was a gimme from the CitizensFOB MIXTAPE [searchforatorrentlink, itsnotillegal, themixtapewasfree.] that came out around this time last year. it was a demo called ALPHAdog and OMEGAlomaniac. the demo is not so good, and the DJ chops and screws it in the middle, this is a SOLID version of this song, and damn did they do it right. the first of two singles put out for the Fall Out Boy Greatest Hit compilation, which will also feature another song that has not been heard ever (which i doubt, i've got a lot of un-heard and unreleased things "") but if you're new to Fall Out Boy, their Greatest Hits is a sure pick-up. Ask me if you want some good FOB stuff, ai gotz itlol. the beat drives, the vocals are great, and it's just a good song. give it your illegal download or one thirty at iTunes. :] but i'd rather iTunes it. Seen How Things are Hard- More ELLLLIOOOOOTTTTT:] this is altogether my very favorite elliott smith song. featuring a beautiful guitar and sleigh-bells accompaniment, elliott tells the story of his friends, perhaps girlfriends and their drug use, and otherwise self-destruction, and says that even know he is a class reflection of them, he can't make corrections for them, THEY have to help him patch things up. it's a beautiful song and I hope to good God you give this one a shot. :] have a song you want reviewed? REQUEST IT:]]]
