Back from Italy,
wow was it ever stellar.
I arrived in Milan, then drove to Florence.
And I can't even explain to you how beautiful Florence is.
It was amazing.
We saw gypsies, markets, fake Prada bags and really cute shoes =]
The scenery, well, words can't even begin to describe it.
Then, we drove to Assisi [sp?] and it was a northern downpour, but still gorgeous.
Why is there so much marble in Italy?
It makes it so hard to walk when it's wet.
Anyway, then after, we drove to Ortona which was literally beautiful.
That town is stunning.
And to have survived the war and still be beautiful.
We went to the Remembering Ortona ceremony, and yeah, okay, I cried.
It was so sad =[
I found my solider's grave and cried.
I'm not usually emotional, believe me.
Then, we went to the Monte Casino cemetery, and I didn't cry!
But it was still very moving.
So many Welsh graves, I felt connected to them.
Then we were in Rome!
Beautiful!
We did all the tourist business and it actually was pretty great.
The last night we got drunk =D
and I can't really remember much that happened that night.
But I miss hanging out with everyone from that trip =[
It won't be the same at school anymore.
Sorry I'm raping about Italy, but it was such an amazing trip.
Yeeah.
So, music.
I missed the coffee house auditions =[
lame, but I don't think I was going to do this one anyway.
Purely acoustic, and my guitarist friend and I hadn't talked about doing anything together.
I've been raping Forever the Sickest Kids lately, more specifically the last for songs off of Underdog Alma Mater.
Pretty sick tunes.
Also, Kanye West's new album 808s & Heartbreak.
Really really good album.
I'm not usually a Kanye West fan, but after I heard Love Lockdown, I went to hear more.
It's actually really good.
If you're like me and a bit skeptical at first, go listen to it.
Cause I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
kbye.
