Off the usual topic

  • I have been thinking a lot lately about how the human mind works, more particularly the minds of people who are isolated for long periods of time, or have gone insane, and begin to see things that aren't really there. I don't know why but I find it fascinating. Some where along the lines the imagination interfears with information coming from the eyes to the brain. If a sane person or someone who isn't 'broken' can do this just by being isolated, then perhaps this ability can be controlled to some extent. I find it hard to imagine having an entire conversation with a person or creature that isn't really there, mostly because I never had an imaginary friend as I have almost always been surrounded by others. Perhaps I am thinking too much, I live in Louisiana, such thoughts are useless here. But if such an ability could be harnessed at will, movies and video games would be useless. It would be better than VR, but it would have the same drawbacks as VR like the threat of the person loosing their grip on reality, but the potential would be great, imagine having someone or something following you around acting as a sort of muse. A being that could give you information that is locked away in your subconcious. I believe that in everyone there are multiple people with different traits and personalities a normal person has all these people in them linked in someway while a person who has multiple personalities has all their personas severed from one another. If we could see and speak with these people in all of us then we would always know what options we have in situations. We could be inspired to try harder or led down a good and honorable path, but yet again there is a risk. I think that we all have relatively the same people in us even though they may go by different names or have different faces, they all have the same traits intellegance, honor, anger, courage, adventurous, loyalty, stealthy, corruption and in each of use these traits have different strengths. As for me, I think my traits have strength in this order of strongest to weakest: honor, loyalty, adventurous, intellegance, stealthy, courage, anger, corruption. Now for me being able to chat with my 'traits' could prove to be a very good thing, but for someone who has strong anger and corruption traits...well, there's your murderers so for them to be able to speak with another that is purely of that trait could be disasterous. Now the intellegance, anger, and stealthy trait is not necassasarilly a good or bad thing. Intellegance can be used for good or evil, anger can drive someone to do something bad or can insire them to try harder or do something else, stealthy refers to how a person moves and their prefered surroundings, I have accidentally snuck up behind people just by walking normally, and I enjoy quiet areas, these are the dependant traits, named so because how they are used is determined by the align. traits. Corruption refers to the darker side in all of us whether it be simply putting down on others, start fights, anything that could be considered bad. We all have the corruption trait in us to some degree. The honor trait is our personal standards, if your a person like me that has a strong faith in honor, then you hold yourself to a higher standard than most people, this is because you have a strong honor trait. Loyalty is self explainitory as is adventerous and courage. Corruption, honor, and loyalty are the align. traits, they dictate if you are a good, bad, or something in the middle. The rest are the dependant traits that show what you are in greater detail. But know I'm off topic....Yeah this is now my official Journal for my cool thoughts
