• Top ten reasons why I love RHCP: 10) They have Chad Smith. CHAD SMITH! He is so freakin awesome...and tall. Plus, I love his hat! 9) They are big boys now. Remember Mother's Milk? The 4 Peppers have certainly grown up from then. It took a while, but now they are big boys. 8) They are still alive. I love that these guys are in their 40s and still play good FunkPunk. I mean, they have consumed SO MUCH drugs, I am surprised John is even alive. At one point, his teeth were falling out and his skin was peeling. They wanted to be junkies and that is what they got. Anyways, long live the Chilis. 7) Flea. Don't you just want to hug the guy!? He seems like the craziest man you might ever meet. Plus, he plays bass like no one else. I mean it literally "comes out and humps you in the face". Go Lakers! 6) Anthony. Tony Flow. Antwan the Swan. What cant you love about him. He's a freakin maniac who surfs, gets tatoos, looks good, and dates supermodels. Finally, he settled down with Heather and had Everly, who just happens to be ADORABLE! 5) John. What can I say? It is like God is channeling himself through this man's fingers. Plus, he is the baby of the bunch! 4) Funk Punk Rock trio. I love that about them. I think they are really good at combining Funk Punk and Rock. In the old days, Rap, but now that is long gone. The Funkiest Monks I have ever heard of... 3) Lyrics. I think all of their songs are very poetic. Yes, they do have many references, but still! Their songs can be very touching and insightful. Very enlightening to the soul and mind. 2) They change! It is not like these guys have one style, that's it, cookie cutter! How would you like it if these 45 year old men got up NOW with just tube socks? Their style ranges and stretches and changes, but they remain the same people with the same views on music and life. There is atleast one RHCP song for anyone. 1) Blood Sugar Sex Magik. If you don't like this album, you are crazy in the head. It is their best album and probably one of the best Rock albums ever. They were at their prime in 92, and I loved every minute of "Funky Monks" the DVD. If you haven't seen it, go to YouTube right now. It is very funny at many times. Anyways, BSSM and RHCP=life.
