So today I worked on that dumb project, the history one. I also-AMAZINGLY-worked on my french project...I finished ALL the research!!! It's actually amazing, that's the first time in...at least two or three years...that I've worked on something so far in advance. It's a speech about cloning. I have to write arguments for it, but I'm allowed to fence-sit...thank god. 'Cause honestly, I don't think I'd be able to say for sure in my "almighty" opinion (for that is what they ask of us, when they ask for a non-fence-sitting opinion) whether I believe cloning is right or wrong. Certainly it has its benefits. Grapples and kittens that glow in UV light? Gosh, who wouldn't love cloning?? haha.
So now I just have to write the actual speech, which shouldn't be too hard, except that I have to be really passionate about it. Luckily, there are a lot of people who have really stupid thoughts when it comes to cloning, if I'm permitted to say so...and other people's stupidity is always great fuel for my anger, which leads to quite passionate talking.
Let me give you an example of one of those stupid opinions/ideas that some people have, so that I don't sound too much like an ignorant git. Basically, some people think: "Cloning? Alright!! I'm gonna clone Einstein, we'll be able to have him with us again, a genius in the 21st century!!" or "Cloning? Shit, no! Someone's gonna clone Hitler and we're gonna have another Holocaust!"
Hate to break it to you, but it's not the mass of cells making up a being that foretells what they're going to do in life, what they'll say, how they'll act-it's the events that influence their life that leads up to that which they are going to do, say, or how they will act.
In other words...for those people who want to clone their deceased dogs. If you dropped your puppy in a pool and it was forever traumatized by the sound of water, then clone the dog later, then don't drop the puppy in water the next time around...well, it won't be afraid of water.
Cloning has advantages though, as I said. They can make food taste better for cheaper.
Thankyou, cloners!
Gosh I'm cold. I took off my sweater cuz my mom's doing a black load. Now I'm sweater-less. I suppose I could go get another sweater. I'll just write instead.
So I was eating a Ferrero Rocher earlier. Those aren't too bad for chocolates. I was eating them, pondering the best way to eat them. I've decided, in my opinion, you have to eat them in layers. The chocolate nutty crunchy stuff, till you get to the wafer. Then eat one half. Then find the hazelnut in the chocolate filling. Then eat the rest. However, this all goes to hell on a hot sunny day. It'll all melt. That's when you just eat them right out of the wrapper.
I once used my not-hot day method...I think I was about...11. I didn't want to eat the hazelnut though, but nor did I want to waste it. Instead, I swallowed it whole. It aggravated my throat for a bit. The next morning, I woke up with a major cold and severely sore throat. I was sick for about a week, in bed. Weirdest thing ever. I've always wondered if it was because I swallowed the whole hazelnut, and why.
Someone today said "once you go to Europe, you can never have North American chocolate"...I wonder if that's true. Sure would be a shame. I wonder if Lindors count? Those are one of my favourite kinds of chocolate EVER. Smooth and creamy and...mmmmmm. Expensive, though :(
Huh well I guess I should go, till next time...
