  • (16) So today second semester started...yeah, on a friday. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Started out with gym, and I'm scared that at some point, there'll be grade nines joining our class, cuz I remember doing that when I was in grade nine, but there's grade nine sluts in the grade nine gym class this year, I honestly never want to meet them in a situation where I have something in my hands and am perfectly entitled to throw it at them...ex. dodgeball or something. Or if when we're training for our race, they get anywhere near me, and give me that dirty look they always give me...no supervision...ahhh. Not a good idea. French was interesting, the teacher said something really insightful that really made an impression...someone asked her, what's your favourite eye colour? She took a minute or so to think about it and said you know what? It's not the colour. It's the intensity, the intensity you see in people's eyes when you look in them, that's what makes the difference. Not sure why, but it really impressed me. Next came Anthro. The teacher seems a bit crazy (but what would you expect from a teacher of anthro/socio/psych...) Anyway, she told us about a summative project that'll be ongoing throughout the year, we have to pick a topic and do "empirical research" (em-pee-ri-cull...yeah, i thought it was "empire-ical" lol), which is basically like hands on talking to people and doing studies, instead of reading from a book, on a topic of our choice which she must approve. Personally, my first choice is the Chaos Theory, a.k.a. "the butterfly effect", I love the concept of it and she called it physics-wtf-but I believe it's very much tied into psychology. We'll see, she said I can do it if I can find a way to make it within the class guidelines... Then came Math...oh...man....insane. I'm taking mixed math, because university would have been too hard and fast for how I learn...but oh man..."this is a fraction"..."the order of operations is"..."we're not learning anything new until after march break"...could it get any better?? Perfect for my incessant laziness...and the class is tiny too. After school I went to a friend's house, we built a quincee because of all the snow (quincee=snow fort) cuz there was a storm...then we had pizza, played some great video games...good times. Now I'm home though...whoooole weekend ahead of me, no plans, what to do...
