  • Alex is a 16 year old boy with amazing enthusiasm and talent for music. From the age of 8 he collected music awards, even playing for the Queen. But Alex has cystic fibrosis. He takes 50 pills A DAY, just to stay alive. He has to be hooked up to oxygen at night. Imagine a big farmhouse kitchen table, completely cover it in medication, and this boy will get through it in a week. Whats worse, is all of this has left him partially deaf. For such an amazing musician, I'd imagine that is devastating. He plays such beautiful piano and organ, and he has SUCH a passion for life. He doesnt seem to let this disease get in his way. He is learning to conduct an incredibley difficult Bach piece (magnificat or something? xD) it is actually heartbreaking how much sheer talent this boy has but with such a horrible disease. "Lets value what we've got." (there was a program about him on, and I think that hes a really inspiring person..and its music-related, so i guess it deserved a blog entry >.>)
