• Just me again, saving you from some depressing emo's journal writing about his/her feelings and how crap his/her life is that they nearly killed his/herself. I take the piss and make no apologies. I've got until the end of Grinning Mouths (Isis) to write something here. Bought 4 new CD's that the avid prog fan should (if you don't already) own. Amplifier - 'Amplifier'. To the point, fairly heavy, good album. Jesu - 'Heart Ache'. Two, twenty minute long tracks, excellent well worth a listen if you have the patience. Pure Reason Revolution - 'The Dark Third'. This really surprised me. Not sure what i was expecting from them. But it wasn't what i heard. Imagine a mix of Lacuna Coil vocals and God Is An Astronaut music, probably a bad comparison but it's the best i can come up with. The 4th album was a 65daysofstatic album, if you know and like them it's hardly worth a mention as it isn't anything massively different from anything else they've ever done. But if you're completely clueless and like Mogwai, God Is An Astronaut and/or Aereogramme then give them a listen.
