Why yes, I DO happen to be obsessed with AC/DC. How kind of you to notice. However, I must say, Back In Black (the CD) irks me for the very fact that it's not Bon Scott singing. I mean, I like Brian Johnson and everything...I mean, he's bad ass, but I think I'm in love with Bon Scott. And he's dead. This may be a problem.
And plus, I don't think God likes AC/DC. 'Cause of the whole "Highway to Hell" thing, I don't know. Or mayhap "Hells Bells". Just an inkling.
So, I finished A Clockwork Orange, and the ending kicked such major booty that I nearly cried. I wanted Alex to be one of MY droogs.
So nothing much has been up. I went to the book store today and bought Last Exit To Brooklyn by Hubert Selby Jr. I got this book because he wrote Requiem For A Dream, which I didn't read, but I watched the movie, and it kicked ass. I LOVE Ellen Burstyn. So, I was going to get Requiem For A Dream but
A) Last Exit To Brooklyn is considered a better work and
B) Last Exit To Brooklyn was cheaper
So, I haven't started reading it, but it sounds so good. It's basically six short stories, and they're all about drug use and prostitution and homosexuality and alcoholism and the underbelly of Brooklyn. Plus, he writes in a really cool style...actually, just look Hubert Selby, Jr. up on Wikipedia, I don't think you'll be sorry.
The other book I got was the Grimms Brother's fairy tales. I already read some of the more popular ones. I loooove fairy tales and short stories. =D
So I didn't do anything for the fourth, because...well, I mean, I saw Ratatouille, but I didn't see any fireworks or anything. I mean, I've just never been patriotic and it depresses me to see a bunch of people just blindly worshipping their country.
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather live in America than anywhere else. But I just think we claim to be more than we are. We're overall a good country, but "liberty and justice for all" takes it a bit far when homosexuals still aren't allowed to marry. At least that's what I think, and since I live in America, I could even start a fuckin' protest for it. And a march. And I could give a speech.
I have a dream...that ONE DAY...homosexuals will be allowed to get married...
No, I'm personally not gay, but I just think it's wrong, you know, not to let people who love each other get married.
But I'm blabbering again. If you've read all of this, congratulations. Keep on rocking in the free world.
Peace out?
No stop signs
Speed limits
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel
Gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me around
Hey Satan!
Paid my dues
Playin' in a rockin' band
Hey mama!
Look at me!
I'm on my way to the promised land...
I'm on a highway to Hell
Every Word Bon Scott Sings Comes Straight From God
