I recently saw the music video for "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down. I think they did a great job in piecing the video together that was filed aboard the aircraft carrier that they performed live on. It was also really awesome that they did that, going out to a carrier to perform live for the serviceman/women.
It's especially cool to see that since I'm probably going to be joining the Army in a couple of months. I turn 17 in May, and I can enter through the Delayed Entry Program, where I can get most of Basic Training and other things out of the way. It allows me to start specific training once I'm 18, and not have to waste the months I'd normally spend in basic. It sounds really cool.
Anyway, I just got such a cool feeling when I first saw that video, I wanted to write about it. It's very cool. If you haven't seen it, you really should look for it. It's been played a lot on MTV and VH1 Hits, and also on MuchMusic USA. Three great channels, by the way. If you don't get them, you probably need satellite or digital cable. Awesome chans though.
