Hospital after all

  • Chain her to the floor Don’t let her go Stand up now You can take the blow! Bars on the ceilings Or is it the walls? Polka dotted sheets Or is it white after all? There’s faces all around All covered in dirt I can’t hear a sound No, no doctor I don’t want it to hurt. Confinement hits you straight in the face Leaving behind bloody marks The walls are filled with wolves The bath tubs are full of sharks There’s vents on the floors Spitting blood all over your shoes The nurses are whispering secrets In your ears until your face turns blue Your hair seems to be gone As well as your face Your arms are falling apart Your sides are tied with lace. Needles in your back, your arms They’re all around All you can hear is alarms And the sounds of the blood rushing in and out. The people are screaming There seems to be something wrong Their leader Is dying Serenading like a song The children are running Running around The women are singing Singing aloud All I can do is sit straight ahead Make up what the terror would be like in my head Keep the ribbon tight round my neck And keep my eyes on the prize like you always said The nurses are staring in utter delight At our squeamish faces What a treacherous sight Them tying the patients legs in laces all but tight Keeping the pain to an upmost slight.
