A Lament

  • After scouring the pages of this website, I have found that most people who listen to the bands I like actually offer some worthwhile insight into the meaning of the song being dissected. The rest seem to be pre-teen girls who use these journals to share with the world their constant internal struggle over whether or not they should cut themselves because their mothers would not buy them the new Fall Out Boy cd. This generation is a disgrace to all who have preceeded them, and I am utterly disgusted that, someday, I will have to rely on this decidedly selfish generation to care for me in my old age. Get over yourselves. "Yet I take pleasure in the fact that my opinions have often the honour of coinciding with theirs and that I follow them, though far behind, proclaiming their virtues. I am glad too that I have the advantage, which many have not, of recognizing the great difference between them and myself." Montaigne
