The months of May and June are harsh months for our petridians, as well as the upcoming freshmen of the following year. Asking around Petrides, the opinions of the highschoolers and eighth graders, they shared how they felt about the stress, how they cope, or, and if it's worth the stress.
I think that it gives 8th graders too much stress along with all the other things we get throughout the year.

School is a burden on kid's lives. It stresses us for numerous hours and makes us think about the future

I'm slaving over thousands of books reading all day and night to try and comprehend every single detail that i learned this year, aiming for that 100 score, i didnt eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom for 2 weeks. and i dont expect to until the regents. But I'm not stressed out at all.
Anonymous 9th grade (New Freshman)
I don't think the Regents will be that hard. We're always reviewing and there are many practice classes we can attend. I personally think it will be a breeze. I don't feel I have any more or any less stress than the freshmen who came Petrides in Middle School..
Bridget Alvarez 9th grade (New Freshman)
The upcoming tests will be a challenge, but I worked hard all year and hope to do well
Catherine Cherkasskie 9th grade (New Freshman)
Well, I'm not really too stressed out cause as long as I pass it doesn't matter, plus being really stressed out isn't going to help me at all.
Cristopher Lombardo 9th grade
I feel that I can pass my upcoming regents. I feel pretty confident in myself to do well on them. No stress.
Michael Melendez 9th grade

Tests are ridiculous. =)
Well, I wasn't nervous about the SATS, but I'm totally against the test because I feel it's jsut a backup by capital gain, and APs suck.
