• Vietnam is my intrigue at the moment. I was fascinated with it as a war when I was younger, but now I am fascinated with it as an era. There is so much there that seems to have been glossed over by the history books. All they seem to cover is the drugie hippies and the war, the end. No questions asked, no answers offered. I almost feel like somone pretty much hit the delete button. Today I can meet the parents of my buddies and see upstanding, mainstream, and essentially boring people. They all seem to have put up this permanent wall on their past. I've never heard any stories, no memories, not even lessons. Nothing. 80's is a different story completely. It's not just the war people don't want to remember, it's that whole era. And I'm worried they'll get what they want, nobody's gonna remember what it was really like.
