Huzzah. It's back. A lot of crap happened this past week... I'll start at last Friday.
First things first: I hate sports. Always have, always will. I don't mind playing with friends or playing with assorted sports equpiment, but when the playing becomes a game, I start hating it a little more with each passing second. Why? I get hurt. A LOT. With every sport that involves a ball, I've gotten hit in the head. Volley ball, basket ball, kick ball, soccer (Though I like soccer)... And, as a plus, with basket ball, I always jam one of my fingers. My right pinky used to be straight from birth to mid-second grade. Now, thanks to my bad catching skills, my pinky is bent in a freakish position, but you can't tell unless I hold my hand still, and you can really look at it.
We're starting our basket ball unit in gym. Oh Joy.
Well, to start things off right, on Friday we were playing a shooting game in gym. You had a number, and there were different colored dots around the basket you were assigned. The coach called a color then a number, and if it was your number, you ran to the center of the gym where there was several basket balls, went back to your hoop, and shot from the color dot they called. If you made it in and are the first one to dribble the ball back to the middle, your team gets a point. Simple concept. Well my number was four, and apparently, it was 'Call Four Festival' day.
So, about the seventh time I've ran at full speed to the center, dribbled the ball back and attempted to make it in (fat chance), the highlight of the basket ball unit happened, and I added another scar to my collection of sport mishap wounds. Our gym floor is waxed smooth and always has a fine layer of dust and sand on it. The dots were rubber and also dust-covered, so you can imagined what happened.
I'm a fast runner, so when I hit the dot going as fast as I would let myself, I slipped. Not tripped over my feet and fell on my butt, no. I landed square on my spine and hit the side of my head against the basketball, which hit the floor and bent my glasses to no return. The hinge of my glasses is pretty pointy, so that jammed in the side of my head and left a small gash there. I threw off my glasses, picked my ass up and attempted to make a basket. But since I can't see absolute shit without my glasses, I missed. Three times. I ran to the middle when I realized I had lost horribly and felt a stinging at the side of my head. I touched my hand up where it was stinging and drew back blood stained fingers. Oh goody. I'm bleeding.
A girl had picked up my glasses and the assistant coach took me back to their office where I could clean the wound. She bent my glasses back as I scrubbed clotted blood from the side of my face. Joy. I washed it up and the only thing there was a small cut, about a centimeter in diameter, and a scratch. So that sucked. I got stood up by a girl as well afterward when her and her friends were blocking the door out of the locker room and I muttered "Fuckers..." under my breath. Her head whipped around (they had already let go of the door) and she said "WHO SAID FUCKERS?! " So I froze and apologized, and we all laughed it off, including her and all her friends (Her friend ended the whole thing with a nice, heartfelt "There'll be no cursing in the motherfucking bitch! ;) ") The entire gym class watched it happen... so that's scarred me for life...
Skip ahead to last Tuesday (Yesterday), our school got to go on a trip to an arcade/pizza buffet/movie place called Gatti Town... And I realized something: Never, EVER try to cram about 700 kids in a building other than a school. Long story short: Too loud, half the games were broken (the other half taken up entirely by other kids), the line for pizza was 3 miles long (no joke), seating sucked, and it only seemed like fifteen minutes, when it was five hours. I would say 'I would have rather stayed home', but I had a good time anyhow.
Nothing much else. Christmas choir concert is on December 4th. I'm very tired. I've spent hours playing games on http://www.originalgames.com (Free online games, ADDICTIVE.). I love one called Fancy Pants ... I could play it for days...
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :D :D :D :D
Oh And the girl who gave me the Slipknot CD (That I still haven't listened to -.-) and the one I gave the Korn CD to is BACK! YAY! She was homeschooled for a bit of the year, but now she's BACK!!! YAY FRIEND.
