Well... other than the cat thing the next day, the night went extremely well. The band Bury Your Dead was already playing by the time my mom and I got there about 7 PM. Yes, my mom brought me to the concert. I'm THIR-FUCKING-TEEN. GET OVER IT. We were able to get in acceptionally quick, after being groped by over-zealous security staff.
There were more things there then I had expected. Something called 'Pin the Tail on the Jackass' (The 'Jackasses' were the 'Two Guys In the Morning', a radio morning show that comes in the radio station), win a CD if you can pin a racoon tail on their asses. Ha. Guess the number things, "Guess the Number of Corn Nuts in this jar for a chance to win $101", I guessed 302 Corn Nuts. A 'spin the wheel and get something' thing, I won tickets to a local Baseball game that was going to be later that week. But, I hate sports, so I gave the tickets away.
I bought a Concert shirt (A MUST for any concert), a sticker, and an autographed CD ($20 for an autographed CD. I got Korn's "See You On the Other Side", with all four members of the band that signed it. I'm so happy. I like how Jonathan signs stuff with his little 'HIV' smiley face. It's so cute.) I wouldn't expect it to be so loud during the concerts ^.^' I had to put little wads of tissue paper in my ears to keep from blowing out my eardrums.
Bury Your Dead was already done with their set, next was the Japanese band, Dir En Grey. But it was so distorted, I couldn't stand it. All I could hear was the drums, and maybe some guitars. So we waited that out, then stayed for some of Fly Leaf. Same thing. A couple of good songs. People were drinking like fishes. Beer, mixed drinks, everything, out the ASS. Mom said everybody would be good and wasted by the time Korn came on. People were throwing their drinks above the crowd and let it rain half-drunken beer all over everybody. Good thing I was well in the back, away from the big crowds.
Then.. Korn came on. EVERYBODY went freaking insane... even cheering when they unveiled Jonathan's mic stand (It's so cool... he has a statue of a naked lady as a mic stand.). It got all dark... then, out of nowhere, the beginning riff to 'Right Now' blared through the wall of speakers. WHOOOOO!!!!! At first, when Jonathan started singing, to me it sounded as though he sucked in a balloon of helium. But when I put some of the tissue paper in my ears, like ear plugs, he sounded normal.
Then they did Twist. I sang along because I know how he scats it out in concerts. He does it the same way in concerts, and it sounds totally different than the CD version of it. Then came Politics, their next single. They played that very well, but it isn't one of my favorite songs. With that over, Love Song came next. A good song. They had what looked like a kind of animated thing behind then while they were playing, like a little cartoon with the boy and animals from the See You On the Other Side album. It was awesome and freaky. Then came A.D.I.D.A.S. Oh, everybody loved that. I got to see Jonathan pretend to jerk off (Hahaha... Cool.), and got to scream 'FUCK!!' at the top of my lungs.
Falling Away From me was next. Another favorite, though it sounded funny with Munky doing backing vocals. Then they did a quick intermission with the end of 'Open Up' playing, and that only meant one thing... once the music stopped and the break was over... 'WAIT!! I'M COMING UNDONE!!!' Hoo... That was good.
I'll add more later... I'll try to remember the rest of the set list...
The Concert... Right...
