  • There's something about strange, creepy songs that makes me return to them again and again. By creepy songs I mean stuff like The Cure's "A Forest" and "Lullaby". It's what nightmares are made of. Things that scare me, and I love to be scared. The only problem with songs like the two fabulous ones mentioned earlier is that you shouldn''t listen to them too often. And when you listen, you should really Listen. It's the same as with watching too many horror movies - you sort of get immune to them. You start recongnising the patterns and notice that the movies are just lame, unrealistic and boring. These (like Hot Songs) are best listened to in the dark. It's lovely to let your imagination go wherever it wants to go, and Listen. Other songs that could be categorized under this title: The Killers' "Jenny Was A Friend of Mine" Die Toten Hosen's "Nichts bleibt für die Ewigkeit" The Rasmus' "Dead Promises" Also, DTH's "Vater Unsen" (and Opium fürs Volk in genral) is quite spooky. I don't really know what it is about Vater Unsen which makes it creepy. It just is, to me atleast. I'm sure there are many others I've forgotten, but these will hopefully be enough for now. The Cure is the best in this category, with "A Forest" and "Lullaby". But these aren't truly scary, frightening songs. These songs are just perfectly creepy. Enjoy today, bye. EDIT: I've left Rammstein off this completely! Okay, so on their new album Rosenrot, the following are fit for this category: "Benzin", "Spring", und "Ein Leid". They deserve to be mentioned in this entry.
