  • I live in a most enchanting valley. I believe it is 12,000 sq miles but contains only 1,200 people. It is a 140 miles round trip to get supplies or to see a doctor, movie ect... 30 mile round trip to the post office.....But I absolutely love it here. The most awesome Funeral Mountian, though in Calif. & I live on the NV side is right out my front door. I truly have a million dollar view as you can see here on this link: http://www.avnv.us/index.php?D=5&cmd=33&file=ImageGallery_1.0.0&category=4 My well water is the best water I have ever tasted (I do have the deepest well in the valley hehe). At night you never know what you might see/hear living so close to Area 51. But one thing for sure is you can't look up into the sky for more than 15 minutes without seeing a shooting or falling star. The air is so fragrant with sweet sage & creosote. Death Valley is listed as the 4th most extreme place on the planet by the Discovery Science channel. I do know it takes extreme non materialistic people to live here. And one must be very self reliant. Cell phones do not work out here yet but I can pick up my favorite radio station in Las Vegas 110 miles away. But lol only on one of my many radios and only at one certain window. Still, I have 538 CD's (paid for) in my collection. One of the few "Singing Sand Dunes" in the world is just a few miles down the road from my property. Also Devils Hole is close by which is the only known place in the world for the Pup Fish. See link: http://www.pupfish.net/habitats/devilshole.htm Life is good. Sly
