A Swedish melodic death metal band formed in 1991 and was originally called A Canorous Quartest, but changed their name in 1993 to A Canourous Quintet because of an additional band member. The band hat released two albums and then in 1999 the band split up / went on an indefinite hiatus.
The band did reform under a new name, 'The Plague' in 2005 but changed their name again to 'This Ending' in 2006 and still currently perform under this.
The word canorous means tuneful, melodious, musical, and to sing.
