Independência is a Christian ministry related to progressive rock rhythm, originated between 2015 and 2016 with the musician Bruno H. S. Santos as its founder, with the goal of God’s adoration in its various ways, including the building of His church. Musically, Independência has the purpose of staying away from any pre-established pattern, having as only guidelines its focus on God and depending only on Him.
Soon after the beginning of the project, Sérgio Nilo joined in and both musicians started recording the first album, Homem e Mulher os Criou. Even though they nearly didn’t have any financial or human resources, both decided to go on with the recording process. During the next 5 years, some other musicians were part of the project, however without participating in the album’s recordings.
Nowadays, the involved musicians decided to follow different ways, remaining only the founder Bruno H. S. Santos in the project. With more financial resources, the recordings of the album Homem e Mulher os Criou could be mixed and mastered at Funds House Studio, having been launched on January 15th, 2021.
