I Am Your Autopilot are Ben Evans and Jasper Wilkinson. Ben has a history with the (in)famous Factory Records, having been signed to the label by Tony Wilson and produced by Peter Hook (who apparently never got paid!). Jasper's music was on regular rotation at the now legendary club night Electric Chair, when he was recording with Jersey Street. Their joint fascination with technology, production, harmony and the songwriting process led to them working as I Am Your Autopilot.
I Am Your Autopilot have an ongoing collaboration with NY multimedia artist and musician Fredo Viola, touring as his band, and performing with him throughout Europe. They have also collaborated with the enigmatic French electronic producer(s), Arandel (Infine Music). The live line-up includes Jonny Lexus and Joel Nally.
I Am Your Autopilot draw from a diverse range of influences from Laurie Anderson to Simon & Garfunkel, Air to Grizzly Bear, Brian Eno to Couperin. The music has a cinematic, heartbreaking, jubilant quality, with soaring vocal harmonies.
