Cryptic Age was formed in 2010 and soon developed its own folk-metal style while slowly including progressive elements into their music. The epic soprano vocals of front woman Jenny Green combined with the progressive folk-metal elements create a highly individual sound which culminated in the debut EP 'Homeland', released in May 2011. Cryptic Age released their first full-length album 'Sounds of Infinity' in May 2012 which combines more progressive and darker elements into the already-eclectic music of the band. It was also a far more ambitious project using various special guests including a choir, instrumentalists and voice actors. In the summer of 2012 Cryptic Age played their first gig outside of the UK at none other than Metalcamp Festival in Slovenia, and to end the Jorvik Viking Festival in 2013, they will be supporting Heidevolk at their biggest gig yet!
