... Beargarden were a new wave band from Australia. It was founded by writer/actor/musician Sam Sejavka in the mid-1980s. Other members include Shane Andalou (guitar), Ross Farnell (bass), Carl Manuell (drums) and Gus Till (keyboards).
The band were one of the first signings with Virgin Records Australia. They had a minor hit with their single "The Finer Things" (the video clip for which was directed by John Hillcoat) and released one album, All That Fall, in 1986.
Til also played for Models and was part of Michael Hutchence's project Max Q before forming Third Eye with Ollie Olsen. Towards the end of the 1980s he recorded a project with Bono and Edge from U2 and Todd Terry. He also became more active in production doing an album for Australia's Joe Creighton. This period saw shifts to New York and Paris for three years before finally settling in London. During this period worked with and remixed African Jazz/Soul legend Manu Dibango, Nina Hagen, Jamiroquai, producer Youth (for who he was his in-house engineer at Butterfly studios) amongst others. Also been working on a project with Claude Challe of Buddha Bar fame and recently working on remixes of System Seven.
Farnell went on to play in Melbourne band, Crash Politics.
Polinski is now a sound engineer and music producer. He has worked with major Australian artists such as The Church, Paul Kelly, Ollie Olsen, Stephen Cummings, Yothu Yindi, George Telek, David Bridie, Tim Finn, Monique Brumby and international artists such as Hot House Flowers, AOA(Comma Records-Japan). Polinski is the also the mastering engineer for Psy-Harmonics and numerous labels and artists in Australia. He has worked on numerous TV scores and films.
