Bahamas is the stage name of Canadian musican Afie Jurvanen (born April 28, 1981). Jurvanen has worked with musicians such as Feist, Howie Beck, Jason Collett, Jack Johnson, The Weather Station, and Zeus.
Bahamas' debut album, Pink Strat, was recorded in a cabin in rural Ontario in 2008. It was released 2009 and nominated for a 2010 Juno Award.
Bahamas' second album, Barchords, was released on February 7, 2012. In 2013, it was nominated for the Juno Adult Alternative Album of the Year. Jurvanen was also nominated for Songwriter of the Year for the tracks "Be My Witness", "Caught Me Thinking", and "Lost in the Light".
