Jo Harvey Allen

Jo Harvey Allen, born 1942 in Lubbock, Texas, is a talented actress, poet, artist, and playwright.  While not known specifically for her musical performances, Allen performed narratives and some singing in the brilliant play: Chippy: Diaries of a West Texas Hooker, that she co-wrote with her husband Terry Allen.  Jo Harvey Allen is well known for her performances as an actress in the films Fried Green Tomatoes, Floundering and The Client.  Allen is also recognized as a pioneer of women in radio.
