Emotional Relation (ER) has gone from energetic, rough Punk Rock inspired by ADTR, Senses Fail, and MCR, to increasingly well-produced Pop-Punk that beckons as much Classic and 80's Rock as it does Pop-Punk. Their first album, a double album, featured several styles, each it's own flavor within Punk or Rock, each at variously developed stages. Their album "Lonely Fantasy" released early 2020, and showed 80's influences, landing between a Pop and Punk Rock record, with moments definitively in both. "This Is Goodbye" arrived Mid-2020, and revealed a more edgy, heavy sound, showcasing up-beat energy with self-scathing lyrics. "No One Else" from This is Goodbye was also released as a single. Chasing Shadows marked a major release for the band, displaying 15 highly produced songs merging keyboard sounds of Lonely Fantasy and guitar driven vibes of This Is Goodbye together. Energetic, technical drums prevent any song from sounding too laid back; surely an advantage for those who consider it such. Stereo Stickman reviewed Chasing Shadows and did an Interview with lead singer Stephen Wendt.
