Lyric discussion by DiaryOfJesse

Alot of the comments I've read say that it was about God's love. Even though I'm atheist, I didn't let that influence my Interpretation. After listining to the song and viewing the lyrics I've come to the conclusion that this is about forgivness for a wrong doing. Yes I realize this sounds like a religous confession (for those looking to shut me down right away), which I can understand how you thought about that. In this case I'm using the forgivness for a wrong doing in the context of a realationship or friendship. If you gain the trust of someone and do something that would lose thier trust, it can be very hard to get it back.

"To find this love of mine I'd walk through wind and fire Forever and always"

This means that he'd do anything to get that trust or "love" back.

"I can't escape this love I want it the way it was..."

This means that they can never forgive him and he wants it to be the way it was before he betrade thier trust.

"Don't you leave me here Alone in all this fear"

He wants them to forgive him and to not leave him alone

"Dead inside My heart and soul flat-lines Put your mouth on mine And bring me back to life"

He can't forgive him-self and wants them to forgive or bring him "back to life".

"No other satisfies My blood runs dry Take my life Save me from this death inside"

He doesn't accept the forgiveness of anyone els exccept them."Take my life" refers to them "Taking" the life that had betraded thier trust. "Save me from this death inside" means he wants them to not only forgive him, but also "save" him from the guilt that he had from betraying them.

"You remind me of a time When I felt alive"

He's telling them that they are the source a happiness of the feeling of being "alive". He's trying to give them a reason to forgive him for the wrong doing.

This again was just my two sense on the interpretation of this song. I hope all of those who read it, at least understand where I'm coming from and that it makes some sort of sense. If you find a flaw in my interpretation, tell me. I really like constructive criticism, because it make me better at what ever I do.
