It is an interesting song. I first heard it on GTA Vice City. It mentions that she is from a British Band. I looked her up and she is the child of Marty Wilde. Who was a pop singer during (I guess from the sound of his music) the 50s.
He is also the one who wrote the song.
There are 2 meanings I can get out of this song. Either it is that A) She is singing about how the kids in America drive the Music industry because of American obsession with Music. Many bands won't even except they made it till they made it to America.
The second meaning is that when she started becoming big in America or possibly touring it she felt like she was a "Kid" to this new land.
Either way I find a catchy song. And even though it is full blown Pop I find there is actual thought put into it than just some Brittany Spears factory produced songs.
