I believe this song can be taken a lot more literally than some do interpret it. "I'm gonna' kick tomorrow..."
is just Jane (and Jane is a real person) trying to convince herself that she'll kick her heroin addiction. It's always supposed to start tomorrow, but it never does. Because as much as Jane wants to rid herself of her addiction, things are never that simple. Oh, and by the way, Jane is still alive. Drug-free. :) According to Casey Niccoli, Jane's good friend.
