a time to tell that she is stuck
is far too long away
impatience her only goal
it always made her stray
ooooooooohh...

she won’t let this go on
he won’t let this beat him
he knows how to love her
he's not what she wants
this does not define her
this does all but comfort
she can't really love him
he won't let her go

it was ok for him to love her
it was ok for him to cry

she would try and comfort
he did not decline
it was missing something
they could not go on
if you stopped and watched him
you could see his crime
it was not affection
simply a lack of time

it was ok for him to love her
it was ok for her to cry
he didn’t think that she could make it
without him by her side

a time to tell that she is stuck
is far to on her way
impatience her only goal
it always made her stray
a time to tell that she is stuck
is far to on her way
impatience her only goal
it always made her stray

it was ok for him to love her
it was ok for her to mind
he didn’t think that she could make it
without him by her side

it was ok for him to love her
it was ok for him to cry
they didn’t think that she could make it
without him by her side

to me, every time i have listened to this song, it seems that it is about a couple that love each other deeply, but there are circumstances that are pushing them apart. everyone seems to think that the girl can't make it without him, and maybe she wants out, even though she loves him.

this song to me means that for once a girl isn't chasing the guy, the guy is after her, but its just not what she wants. And she will prove that she doesn't need him, and can make it. And its his turn to cry.

to me, this songs is about a guy that thinks there is more to a relationship than there really is. it seems like she cared about him but there was something holding her back so much that she knew there would never been anything more than a friendship.

actually no. his/her lyrics are correct. "then stars" doesn't make any sense at all anyway. and if you really love the song, you'd know the lyrics.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
