Hordes of faces, empty eyes, I see nothing new
Seasoned schemes of slimy curs offer up their flu
Am I beast or am I human, am I just like you?
Power seething, really reeling, reaching out for you

Am I Demon?
You need to know

Faces of one million hells, rage inside these veins
Pounding out deserved the pain, to anyone in need
Am I beast or am I human, am I just like you?
Power seething, really reeling, reaching out for you

Am I Demon?
Need to know
Demon am I, oh yeah

Am I Demon?
Need to know
Demon oh well then I'll like it
Alright

Every world and every limb torn asunder base
Everything I need is me, everything I am
Am I beast or am I human, am I just like you?
Power seething, really reeling, reaching out for you

Am I Demon?
You need to know
Demon oh well then I'll like it oh, oh yeah

Am I Demon?
Need to know

classic existentialist problem - comparing himself with others and wondering if he's the same of radically different than them (because man only knows his own thoughts)

I think in this song their saying they've done alot of bad things in their life that they know were wrong but they did them anyways, and he's all like even though i did all these bad things like, really really bad things and you haven't done anything wrong does that make us any different? If I decided to be a goody goody to shoes would that make me a good person? And if I took the path that I decided to take does that make me a bad person? Does it? or are we all just the same?

    Song Meaning

I think Danzig is wondering if he is a demon or a human when he wrote the song. This could be caused by a mental state of mind or by excessive use of drugs and parting too much, and staying up for many days until one's mind begins to become unglued. I don't think he is saying he is a bad ass in this song. I think his question is sincere, and then maybe he made it into a great lyric, later one, after recovering his senses. But, I could be wrong. Maybe he never felt that way, and he just wanted to have some thought provoking lyrics. The demonic theme fits the tone of the piece.

everyone had dark and eveil inside them, and some admit to it and act on it and others try not to and act good but they too have it within them. He chose to show it to the world, and other did not but still no on is different. Some people are really bad, murder, Etc. but really they are not much different than the rest of humanity, and we all have that desire at some point

I was never under the impression that he was too into that sort of thing, drugs and alcohol. In fact I think if he does it at all he keeps it quiet, or doesnt do it much. I know he once had but that was as a teenager very young person. So the idea that he lost it on drugs seems unlikely. Or if so, then his willingness to actually let it be known would be more unlikely

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
