yeah uh
don't break my heart
no no no no
no no no no no
ummm

never thought i would loose control
never wanted to love somebody
but now i know there was no escape from loving you
never wanted my dreams to fold
never wanted to cry about you
now i am all alone praying that you will call and make it alright

so why you hurt me so bad
i give my all to you and you give nothing back

baby don't break my heart don't break my heart
why you wanna do me this way do me this way
trust in you in every way why did you lie
don't break my heart baby don't you break my heart
why you wanna do me this way
promise me you'll always stay don't break my heart

remember telling me the things we do
now you wanna go on without me
made me believe when all along you lied to me
watchin' me getting into you
guess you have cause you really got me
i went ahead and did everything i said i'd never do
so why you hurt me so bad
baby i give my all to you
and you give nothing back

don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way
trust in you in every way why did you lie
don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way
promise me you'll always stay don't break my heart
don't break my heart baby no i'm falling apart baby yeah

so why you hurt me so bad i give my all to you
you give nothing back nothing back
why you hurt me baby why

don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way
trusted you in every way why did you lie
don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way
promise me you'll always stay don't break my heart

don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way
trusted you in every way why did you lie
don't break my heart why you wanna do me this way promise me you'll always stay don't break my heart

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
