"Shaking Hell" as written by Kim Gordon, Lee M. Ranaldo, Thurston Joseph Moore and Jim Sclavunas....
She's finally discovered she's a...
He told her so
She's finally discovered she's a...
He told her so
She's finally discovered she's a...
He told her so

Come closer and I'll tell you
Come closer and I'll tell you
Come closer and I'll take off your dress

I'll take off your dress
I'll shake off your flesh
I'll shake off your flesh
I'll shake off your flesh

Shake off your flesh
Shake off your flesh

Turn around
Turn around
Turn around

Shake
[repeat nine times]

Shake off your flesh
Shake off your flesh
Shake off your flesh
Shake off your flesh

Shake shake
[repeat eighteen times]

Shake

Song MeaningHmm "Shake of your flesh" doesn't quite sound like to rape to me. I think the feminist skew to this one is to be a woman and to narrate the story trough the eyes of a sexually driven (typically male) serial killer. "I'll shake of your dress, I'll shake of your flesh" means rape and kill, or at least, undress and then kill. All with Kim telling the story as the protagonist. Scary indeed, but also turning the tables, taking over power, if you will. Women do have power, but also (non-feminists, libertarian point) women are also capable of violence.

General CommentA sex-as-death thing, perhaps. Rape is an obvious possibility.

    Awesome, scary song.
