I'm sick of always hearing
All the sad songs on the radio
All day it is there to remind an over sensitive guy
That he's lost and alone, yeah

I hate our favorite restaurant
Our favorite movie, our favorite show
We would stay up all through the night
We would laugh and get high
And never answer the phone

I can't forgive, can't forget
Can't give in, what went wrong?
'Cause you said this was right
You fucked up my life

I'm sick of always hearing
Sappy love songs on the radio
This place, it's fucking cursed and it's plagued
And I can never escape when my heart, it explodes

I can't forgive, can't forget
Can't give in what went wrong?
'Cause you said this was right
You fucked up my life

I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong?
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong?
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong?
I'm kicking out fiercely at the world around me
What went wrong?

I'm kicking

Great song....when blink put their new cd out they had like 3 or 4 different versions, each w/ a different set of secret songs, and mine had this one and fuck a dog and i think its a fuckin sign.....this and m&m's are the best songs ever by blink....this one is just so amazing cuz Tom totally captures how it is when you break up w/ a girl who u had it so deep for. i had a gf who treated me so bad but i was so unaware of that and when i finally realized that and i told her that it was over, she begged and begged and said that we were right for eachother and everything was right, jus like he says in the song. Its just a song about how theres so many things that remind you of that one person and u hate it cuz that person jsut "fucked up" your life

This is a song I can listen to whenever because everyone feels this way @ some point, and I dont see the point in arguing about the emo shit, its just a great song, so either listen to it, or get over it.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
