[Chant, Part 1]
Not not not not brut brut brut brut
Not not not brut brut brut …
Not not not brut brut brut …
Not not not brut brut brut …
Etc

[Lyric, Part 1]
We have seen
We have known
Keep me going
It’s your call
If you need me
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
It’s all you need
Inaj’Allah
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
In your garden
It’s your job
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
[Mona schoen ist negah ting ist nelba]
If you’re awake
If you’re not
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
[Wann ist mann das nicht er lieb das kinder]
Par̃adise
If you’re calling
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
[Daun doni gozugu siems du densfall]
If you need
When you see
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
[… Domsa ust tuuli yimbra]
If you’re awake

[Chant, Part 2]
Brut brot brut brot brut brot ...
Not not not brut brut brut …
Brut brot brut brot brut brot …
Not not not brut brut brut …
Etc

[Lyric, Part 2]
We need heat
They are clean
Let me shine
Keep me shining
If you’ll see
[Siems du lang ist liedisch dunden weiss nach]
It’s all you
Now you need me
[Münden alles an denen, Ich liebst das]
In your garden
In your hallway
(It’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming it’s coming, the day-ah)
Kindly tell you he deserves a present God
It’s a seed

[Lyric, Part 3]
Light
Has broken against
The s-sky edge
What’s coming has gone through me and I’m overflowed
I’ve truly come alive
Till this day I’ve been enough

It’s almost day
Light
(Up up up up up speech now)
(Up up up up up speech now)
I’m ready to star
I’m ready for breath
Ready to push
Frustrated and I’ll show you I’ll strut
Into the sacred light
Till we’ve got another world
(Up up up up up speech now)
(Up up up up up speech now)

I’m ready, turn
Light
(Up up up up up speech now)
(Up up up up up speech now)
All the circuits flow
I’m emerging to laugh
Surely too upbeat
But I spoke them
Into the sacred light
See
[Ipor sellia daya]

    My Opinion

I would never try to guess what Liz was thinking or singing about on this or any of her/their songs... all I know is this song is what I want to be listening to when I leave this mortal coil. I can't think of a more appropriate auditory transition piece!

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
