Are you ready for the stand
Blood on the ground
And mud on your hands
Take another breath
Make another try
You think you're gonna break
You think you're gonna die

Get off the dirt
Listen to the crowd
Screamin' your name
Screamin' it loud
I know you think you can't
I know you think you're done
But we can't stop
Until we've won

You're not alone
We're not afraid
This is our moment it won't come again

So lean on me and find your feet
We will not accept defeat

Get up
When your body's screaming out
Get up
And your hope is fading now
Get up
And the light is dimming down
Get up
And your strength is waning

Raise your eyes
Tell your mind
To lift yourself
One more time

Get up
Get up
Get up
Get up

The battle soon begins
You've come this far to win
Source the power within
Unleash it all again
Returning to the fight
Victory inside
The crowd will soon ignite
So light up the night

Get up
Get up
Get up
Get up!

Your hands are weak
They're barely hanging on
But your body still wants more
Where in your eyes
Your mind sharp as knives
You're built to carry on
This battle will be won

Get up
When your body's screaming out
Get up
And your hope is fading now
Get up
And the lights are dimming down
Get up
And your strength is waning
Raise your eyes
One more time
Gotta get up
Get up
Get up
Get up
Get up
Get up
Get up!

Get up
When your body's screaming out
Get up
And your hope is fading now
Get up
And the lights are dimming down
Get up
And your strength is waning
Raise your eyes
One more time
Gotta get up
Get up
Get up!

This song means so much to me. The time it came into my life was perfect. I think it is pretty easy to understand what this song means, but songs can literally mean anything you want it to mean. I have imagined a different scene then what I think the lyrics are saying.

I picture a coliseum and a fight. Half of the people in the stands are people who support me and love me. The other half are positive thoughts I have about myself, nice things people said to me for support, and my heart. On the ground, is my body and soul fighting against my demons. The good news is I have support all in the stands, and I am not alone. The bad news is, I still have fears, doubts, and negative thoughts telling me I can't. My soul is smart and it listens to the crowd of support and love.

To me, this song is about fighting the good fight every moment. Meaning that we should fight for the good in every battle, no matter how small. For example, if I made a mistake at work, instead of blaming it on someone else and giving into the negative feelings and thoughts, take responsibility and make the situation right. It is kind of like that saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". Don't back down, fight for you! You might have a million thought telling you that you can't do that, that you aren't good enough, that you are worthless. Get up and fight through it! You got this!

Sometimes success is just getting out of bed. Sometimes the battle is in our heads, and that is mainly how I see this song's meaning. I think it is a battle from within.

    My Opinion

Probably one of the best motivational songs out there. Fighting when you don't think you can fight anymore. The best.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
