This is a break beat from the emotions stirred up from the past two tracks; It culminates in the beginning. It feels like a song that you'd hear at a high school dance in the 70's. You're afraid of how you may look to others and it doesn't seem cool to just get it out of your system. None the less get the fear of sharing your happy self with your contemporaries!

By the time the Robots chime in though, it's nearly impossible to not "Lose Yourself" and well... dance. By the end of the song I felt like my problems left me! even if for a few short minutes. Like synchronized dancing where everyone at least showed they were competent of emotion let alone losing themselves in celebration of the event!

I love mauricech's take on this tune. I'm jamming this right now and had to unplug my headphones - the neighbors need to get in on this.

    Song Meaning

Ok so there's 2 important fact about the song :

    • The song is for a girl (so it's better if sang by a man), because of thie line : "You take my shirt and just go ahead and wipe up all the Sweat". I don't see a man giving his shirt to another man (unless gay) or a girl giving her shirt, that's not usually what people do. If sang by a girl I guess lyrics would be something like "You take my hand and just go ahead and [...insert brilliant idea here...]"

    • It's for a girl that works a lot and don't party much. Maybe the singer is in love with her, or maybe it's just a very close friend to him. Anyway he likes her very much and wan't her to be happy.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
