You gotta stand up to sorrow, before the darkness
this music's my only accomplice
I swear I'll never feel alone
You gotta face your tomorrows, never look back
a heartless colossus, looming in the black
I swear I'll never feel like home

I venture through these rainy days in technicolour dreams,
they said that the grass was greener, when its not what it seems,
I left my loved, my life, in search of myself
yet there was only one that came to me when I called for help,
music was my soul, my mind, reminded me of life when my mind unwinded -
desperate, I was confined and blind, I found solace in Tupac and Jurassic five -
cypress hill, dead prez and Busta rhymes, I longed for the stage man, every night,
no one related, said Hip hop was dead,
yet they spoke the words my father never said, yeah

You gotta stand up to sorrow, before the darkness
this music's my only accomplice
I swear I'll never feel alone
You gotta face your tomorrows, never look back
a heartless colossus, looming in the black
I swear I'll never feel like home

I venture through these winter days searching for a place
some might say the life of a wanderer is the path he chooses to create
the road fate carves aint narrow and straight but I aint got no time to stop and wait,
cause I gotta believe my dreams await, it’s like lookin at a star and see it fade from space
Most spend their whole lives searching for someone to trust,
and when they couldn't find love, only turned to lust
so go figure that they fuck themselves to death
and it's the word they'll be shouting with their dying breath
I turn to the beats when I near the noise of thunder
no one ever told me that my days were fuckin numberered
no one ever told me that hip hop was a way of life
and I gotta fuckin tell you now that music is a state of mind

You gotta stand up to sorrow, before the darkness
this music's my only accomplice
I swear I'll never feel alone
You gotta face your tomorrows, never look back
a heartless colossus, looming in the black
I swear I'll never feel like home

I know there'll be a time when I'm not around
and I know there'll be a time when my voice will resound, singing

You gotta stand up to sorrow, before the darkness
this music's my only accomplice
I swear I'll never feel alone
You gotta face your tomorrows, never look back
a heartless colossus, looming in the black
I swear I'll never feel like home

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
