I know all the lines to say
The part I'm expected to play
But in the reflection I am worlds away

As I put my costume on
Eyelashes one by one
Been doing this so long I can tie the knot
Behind my back

And everyone's waiting
But it's getting harder to hear what my heart is saying
'Cause everyone's waiting

Just swallow and breathe, she says
Remember this ain't for you it's for them
And all of those painful lessons you've had to learn
You gotta use them now or never

'Cause everyone's waiting
But it's getting harder to hear
What my heart keeps saying
Turn it off, I wanna turn it all off

When everyone's waiting
It makes it harder to hear what my heart keeps saying
Turn it off, I wanna turn it all off

But everyone's waiting
I hear that answers appear when you just stand still
But make it all, how do you make it all stop
When everyone's waiting?

    My Interpretation

Maybe it's about the pressure people put on you to be that certain someone or do that certain something - or perhaps, even be with that certain someone in a relationship.

When you talk so much about reaching a dream - and you procrastinate, become indecisive and all the little crossroads that come with life, sometimes you can lose sight of what it is that you wanted in the first place. People are almost waiting for you to figure it out, you feel like a failure sometimes that you haven't sorted yourself out BUT at the end of the day, why should we have to put that on ourselves, can't we just roll with it and see how things pan out. It's about our decisions, our relationships, our dreams, why do we feel we have to compare ourselves to others or maybe prove ourselves to people. Can't we just be. Calm, quiet and just be.

    My Interpretation

I think this is just about wondering if the life you are living is where you really aught to be and if it is worth but feeling that you cant explore anything else because everyone expects it from you.

I think it's about her quitting the music industry, she knows what she should do, what she should sing, but she somehow can't get it out and she feels pressure to write and sing, but she can't because there is such a high expectation. a great song.

    My Interpretation

I think this song is about a bride's introspective view of her wedding day and the feelings she experiences just prior to walking down the aisle. At the very least you could apply this concept to the lyrics or understand it to be used as a metaphor

    Song Meaning

A beautiful lyrical song about all the turmoil that depression brings; being so numb you just function on auto pilot: being able to tie a knot behind your back. Your mind seems to take over and it doesn't matter how hard your heart yells and tries to keep you on track it never seems to win the battle; and you begin to live for everyone else and not for your own life.

Perhaps it’s a funeral. I see this as a woman who is keeping her family from falling apart during a tough time. Putting on a strong face until she is out of the spotlight. Then she can be her true self.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
