You make a neat and tidy house, a good worker does
A pinion of labors men as capable as trust

From a lower point of view, comes the underlying truth
Keeping yourself unaware, confident we know you care
Looking out your little mind, recognizing time has passed
Ready for some further use, denial is a virtue

I make a good and steady friend there, a companion through life
But who am I, when all I am is your designated wife?

From a lower point of view, comes the underlying truth
Keeping yourself unaware, confident we know you care
Looking out your little mind, recognizing time has passed
Ready for some further use, denial is a virtue

From a lower point of view, comes the underlying truth
Keeping yourself unaware, confident we know you care
Looking out your little mind, recognizing time has passed
Ready for some further use, denial is a virtue

Sadly, I have not defined where you're taking me

    My Interpretation

This is iamamiwhoami saying goodbye (for now). That meaning is REALLY apparent in the stanza: "Don't expect to hear from me 'Cause I have got to feed our hungry mouths I do enjoy your company But we must work to keep you content"

Also, "Now we found a cure Returning to the shore" this is them sort of saying "alright, we figured out the answer to our mission (which, IMO, was to take strange musical styles and make them more poppy for public crowds), and now we're returning to the workplace to make more music!"

So really, who knows what their next endeavor will be. The BOUNTY series was her establishing herself and figuring herself out creatively. The Kin series was her responding to her fans and producing something more poppy and making something people will more easily love. And the next series? Who knows. But I bet she'll be back.

    I agree with Jellyfish.

Also, the line "Change is always given to decide just who it's for" really stands out to me. It's a clever way of looking at life's changes.

Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
