Vacuum of god

Gobbets of me
wrapped in tissue through the side blow
that had somehow slipped from you

Vacuum of god
and there you go

I nursed you like a crown
hanging upside down
half of a big ship drown
My life weeping to your feet
on gallows of love

Tear a kiss
into a lie of bliss

Shouts with a voice you can't hear
for what you can't bear
from world's void juice
emptied by words

Vacuum of god
and there you go

From world's void juice
emptied by words

emptied by words

emptied by words

    My Interpretation

could be my hormons throwing me way off, but i feel this song is about love. 'vacuum of god' and 'world's void juice' make me think of vagina (am i too blunt?). 'tear a kiss into a lie of bliss' 'emptied by words' could hint at the way rethorical and sociocultural convention taint and empty the most primal, authentic and natural form of love. this song in particular seems to me the story of a lover who hurt and betrayed her.

Vacuum of god = a black hole?

Someone disappeared perhaps? Not in a missing person type of way, but in a "they left" or even an "I'm ridding you from my life" kind of way.

I don't think these lyrics are even right. "half a bit- drown" WTF? It sounds to me like "half a big ship drowned." I realize English isn't her first language. These lyrics look like either the singer, or someone at her record company used a Bablefish translating app to come up with them. The song may be about Christ.

"I nursed you like a crown / Hanging upside down / Half of a BITCH it drowned". It's pretty clear that she says that, why to ignore it.

I agree with the Jesus interpretation. Some of Anja's other songs make seeming references to Christ and specifically his death - Thanatos for example.

There is a picture of Anja sitting with her piano with what is clearly a Greek painting of the Theotokos on the wall. Maybe it's just art, but Austria is very Catholic so it's likely Anja was raised to be.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
