In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
Voy en el ultimo tren
Hacia el ultimo anden
En mi ultimo día.
Veo por la ventanilla
Mirando hacia atrás
Puedo ver mi vida.
No me arrepiento
De lo que he hecho
Más bien me pregunto
Porque perdí tiempo?
Porque deje tanto para luego?
Porque deje tanto para luego?
Quisiera irme a caminar
A la calle principal
Y quitarme la ropa.
Podérsela regalar
A los vaguitos que están
Aventando pelotas.
Ir por ahí
Sin nada en mi cuerpo
Quiero sentir
Las manos del viento.
Porque deje tanto para luego?
Porque deje tanto para luego?
Sólo quiero pedir un ultimo deseo
Un día más, un día más.
Un día más de mi vida!
Para dar mi querer
A todos aquellos
Que no les demostré
Mis sentimientos
A los que les falle
Y me siguieron queriendo.
Un día más, un día más.
Un día más de vida!
Para entrar a la iglesia
Ponerme de rodillas
Más no arrepentida
Sólo agradecida
Por toda la libertad para hacer
Bien o mal mi vida
Un día más, un día más
Un día más de vida!
Quisiera poder llegar
Con mi jefe el holgazán
A su gran oficina
Para tirarle el café
Para reírme de el
Cuando me diga
Que estoy despedida.
No perder tiempo,
Buscar a mi amado
Hundirme en su cuerpo
Lo que quede de tiempo
Por que deje tanto para luego?
Por que deje tanto para luego?
Sólo quiero pedir un ultimo deseo
Un día más, un día más.
Un día más de mi vida!
Para dar mi querer
A todos aquellos
Que no les demostré
Mis sentimientos
A los que les falle

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Just A Little Lovin'

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
