For a long time
Haha
You look so good
Got my eyes on you

I've been watching you
For so very long
Trying to get my nerve built up
To be so strong
I really want to meet you
But I'm kind of scared
'Cause you're the kind of lady
With so much class
I get my thoughts together
For the very next day
But when I see you, lady
I forget what to say
Your eyes and hair
Such a beautiful tone
The way you dress and walk
It really turns me on, yeah

Ooh, you really turn me on
Come on, come on, come on

Come and talk to me
I really wanna meet you
Can I talk to you? (Mm)
I really wanna know you (I wanna know you)
Come and talk to me (oh)
I really wanna meet you
Can I talk to you? (Ooh yeah)
I really wanna know you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

There you are again
With the same smile each day
I wanna know what it is
That makes me feel this way
I wish I could grab you
Tell you what it means to me
To see you walking my way
It really makes my day
Before I go to sleep and dream about you
I'm a single man, I hope that you are single too
Tomorrow, I'll say something to set my mind free
'Cause curiousity is buggin' the hell outta me, yeah, baby

Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, baby

Come and talk to me (my baby)
I really wanna meet you
Can I talk to you? (Girl)
I really wanna know you (and you know, you know, you know)
Come and talk to me (know, know, know, baby)
I really wanna meet you (I wanna meet you)
Can I talk to you?
I really wanna know you, baby (said, I wanna know you, baby)

You wanna tell me your name? (Wanna tell me your name)
Let me play your game, oh (let me play your game, yeah)
(I wanna know)
You wanna tell me your name (oh)
Let me play your game
I really want you baby (I wanna know you, baby)

Come and talk to me (come on, come on)
I really want, I really want, I really want, I really want to know you (I)
Can I talk to you? (Yeah, you know)
I really want, I really want, I really want, I really want to know you (I wanna to know you)
Come and talk to me (yes I do) (i really want you, baby)
I really want, I really want, I really want, I really want to know you
I wanna know you (you look so good to me)
Come and talk to me (yes you do, baby)
I really want, I really want, I really want (you look so fine)
I wanna know you

I wanna know (please tell me)
You wanna tell me your name? (Tell me your name)
Let me play your game (let me play your game)
Ah (oh)
I wanna know
You wanna tell me your name? (I wanna know you)
Let me play your game (let me know you)
Ah (oh)
I wanna know (I really want you)
You wanna tell me your name? (Come on, baby)
Let me play your game (Come on, baby) (I really want you)
I wanna know you

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
