I felt a hand warming deep around her.
And it always makes me wonder was it you?
I met somebody else, brushing off in laughter.
It felt an awful lot like it was you.

Was it you who caught my attention?
Was it you who showed me I'll face anywhere but here?
I'd like to see you go.

I see BLU underwater next to you.
The Seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you.
I see BLU underwater next to you.
Every wave brings me bad news, oooh oh.

I'm off the deep end, it holds me so much closer.
I'm drowning in a cloud like no one knew.

Was it you who caught my attention?
Was it you who showed me I'll face anywhere but here?
I'd like to see you go.

I see BLU underwater next to you.
The Seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you.
I see BLU underwater next to you.
Every wave brings me bad news, news.

I'm scaling half the ocean, burying your name,
But I found the seas all frozen after coming all this way.

I See BLU underwater next to you.
The Seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you.
I See BLU underwater next to you.
Every wave brings me bad news, news.

    The lyrics are:

I felt a hand pull me deeper under Always makes me wonder was it you? I met somebody else, (the) impression I fell under It felt an awful lot like it was you.

Was it you who caught my attention? Was it you who showed your face anywhere but here? I'd like to see you go.

I see blue underwater next to you The seven seas don't have a clue Of where to hide someone like you. I see blue underwater next to you Every wave brings me bad news.

I love the deep end When it holds me so much closer. I'm drowning in the flood I know as you.

Was it you who caught my attention? Was it you who showed your face anywhere but here? I'd like to see you go.

I see blue underwater next to you The seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you. I see blue underwater next to you Every wave brings me bad news.

And I'm scaling half the ocean Burying your name But I found the seas are frozen After coming all this way...

I see blue underwater next to you. The seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you. I see blue underwater next to you The seven seas don't have a clue of where to hide someone like you. I see blue underwater next to you Every wave brings me bad news, news, bad news.

    Such a perfect song.

    Song Meaning

The song is about the singer (Maika Maile) finding someone that reminds him of a lost one that died or is lost in a body of water.

"I felt a hand pull me deeper under Always makes me wonder was it you? I met somebody else, (the) impression I fell under It felt an awful lot like it was you."

The first verse tells of his urge to forget and move on but can't. and maybe can't stop seeing his/her face evrywhere.

"Was it you who caught my attention? Was it you who showed your face anywhere but here? I'd like to see you go."

The chorus really gives it away, the first line blatently states that the person is underwater, and that every wave brings bad news, what is the bad news?

"I see blue underwater next to you The seven seas don't have a clue Of where to hide someone like you. I see blue underwater next to you Every wave brings me bad news."

Maika loves the deep-end because he is so much closer to the person, and the flood is the person because that is where he/she died, i'm concluding.

"I love the deep end When it holds me so much closer. I'm drowning in the flood I know as you."

Now he is scaling (scaling an ocean, you don't scale an ocean, referencing the stairway to heaven? i believe so.) "Burying your name" Moving on now. But "the seas are frozen" because it is already too late, "after coming all this way."

"And I'm scaling half the ocean Burying your name But I found the seas are frozen After coming all this way"

The extended bridge/chorus gives more suspention in the idea of the the BLU.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
