The love that you bring
You bring me along
The pain that you give
It gives me a home

Do you wanna stay by my side
Do you want me to turn and hide
We are disappearing inside
Seeing pictures of our goodbyes

When we, we believe
That our love will survive
The pain that you bring
Brings me all alone

Do you love me
Do you hate me
Do you wanna believe me
Do you think that you don't need me
Do you wanna deceive me

I can't think that it's all over, don't want to forget
I can't live the disappointment down, I want to repress your
Goodbye
Goodbye

The design, we broke the mold
The dreams when you see, that goodbyes aren't for long

Please follow me
To the borders of destiny
I don't want to break from your side
The falling ground screams, goodbye

Please follow me
To the borders of destiny
I don't want to break from your side
The falling ground screams, goodbye

Goodbye
Goodbye
The design, we broke the mold
The dreams when you see, that goodbyes aren't for long

    My Interpretation

I have listened to this song time and time again and there have been a couple ways I have interpreted it, however there is only one way that seems the most accurate. A man get's married to the love of his life. He has a child. Later, he joins the military to serve his country. The song is about him going over seas and getting killed and the pain that his wife and child feel during his journey. "Do you wanna stay by my side Do you want me to turn and hide" This is from his wife's perspective. She feels betrayed by her husband for joining and betrayed by her country for sending him overseas. "Please follow me To the borders of destiny" This is the soldier/husband. It's a play on words. He travels over borders where his destiny is to be killed.

I could go through the whole song with their on and off perspectives, but if you listen to it with this mindset it makes a lot of sense.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
