Jason Derulo
Everybody's looking for love
Ain't that the reason you're at this club
You ain't gonna find a dance with him, no, no
Got a better solution for you girl

Just leave with me now, say the word and we'll go (and we'll go)
I'll be your teacher, I'll show you the ropes (show you the ropes)
You'll see a side of love you've never known
I can see it going down, going down

In my head, I see you all over me
In my head, you fulfill my fantasy
In my head, you'll be screaming more
In my head, it's going down
In my head, it's going down
In my head, yeah, in my head, oh yeah

Come on
Some dudes know all the right things to say
When it comes down to it, it's all just game
Instead of talking let me demonstrate, yeah
Get down to business and skip foreplay

Just leave with me now, say the word and we'll go (we can go)
I'll be your teacher, I'll show you the ropes (show you the ropes)
You'll see a side of love you've never known (never known)
I can see it going down, going down

In my head, I see you all over me
In my head, you fulfill my fantasy
In my head, you'll be screaming more
In my head, it's going down
In my head, it's going down
In my head

Break it down
Come on
Let's go
You singing to me baby in my head right now
Come on
She'll be screaming out when it all goes down

Just leave with me now, say the word and we'll go (we can go)
I'll be your teacher, I'll show you the ropes (show you the ropes)
You'll see a side of love you've never known (never known)
I can see it going down, going down

In my head, I see you all over me
In my head, you fulfill my fantasy
In my head, you'll be screaming more
In my head, it's going down
In my head, it's going down

In my head, I see you all over me
In my head, you fulfill my fantasy
In my head, you'll be screaming more
In my head, it's going down
In my head, it's going down
It's going down in my head

I like the fact that this song does take place in "my" head so to speak. A guy is captured by a gal and he visualizes many potential chapters with the girl. He thinks the girl has been through the same repetitive road. And he wants to show her a new perspective to life.. And vise versa.

Something about this song screams masturbation and kinky sex fantasies to me. Not a knock against it, it's still a great song =D

This song is about the singer trying to seduce a virgin --that's what the "I'll be the teacher/I'll show you the ropes" is about, as well as "you'll see a side of love you've never known." So it's creepy that he then says "get down to business, let's skip foreplay." Jerk! And the heavy breathing part is creepy. I hope the girl slaps him.

I think this is his thoughts in his head not actual actions. In his head he sees him and her "going down" (sex). If the music video for this has any correlation to the meaning behind this song it would be the local 7 eleven for a club and car stereos blaring for music. in the video if i recall correctly he sees her walk out with a man and he sees her and him in his head instead of her and the other guy.

    My Opinion

I think the dude just wants to show her that she can be loved, but he wants to show her that through sex. I just HATE guys who are like that and want it right away!

this song is about a guy that sees a girl in a bar and knows she has been dating around and he wants to show her what love is thru sex.

I think this song is a parody of (or tribute to) the song "Down" by Jay Sean ft. Lil' Wayne. Both songs have a similar theme and sound. "Down" has fairly innocent lyrics, but a hint of innuendo with the repeated and emphasized use of the word "Down". "In My Head" turns this around and makes the innuendo heavy and crude - it's meant to be over the top - in your face...so to speak.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
