"When They Fight, They Fight" as written by Grant Evan Widmer and Edward Bartlett Joyner....
When they fight, they fight
And when they come home at night they say,
"I love you, baby."

Was it too much too soon,
Or too little too late?
He got the message she left on his car, in the rain.

And then the words they come to you,
Driving away.
You just can't let it go.

And when they fight, they fight,
And when they come home at night they say,
"I love you, baby."

And when it all comes crashing down,
What can you do,
To find what you're looking for?
And then the words will come to you,
Driving through the rain.

But there'll be no one there to say them to anyway.

General CommentAbout how people can't let go of fights even when they feel they are wrong or feel sorry. But eventually they forgive in this lil story anyways.

General Commentthere's one last line that's missing from these lyrics:

and then the words will come to you
    driving through the rain
but there will be no one there to say them to
    anyway

    (repeat chorus)

i think this song is about two people who are very intense emotionally. when they fight, they FIGHT, you know? but then they can come from that and say, "i love you." it's almost as if they love each other so much that they fight with each other. it's not necessarily bad, it's just the way these two people work.

i love the line, "was it too much too soon, or too little too late?" i think it illustrates how these two people can certainly go from one extreme to another.

the last line kind of confirms that these people had their last fight and broke up, as the guy is driving away and realizes he has no one else to talk to, or fight with, or love.
