If you're there come forth and show yourself
Why let the millions die and burn in
Hell
Because they don't believe in your so
Called religion
Repent now and drown yourself

I'm still here
Remaining unanswered
The prayers spread
Still stand unheard
I'm not standing and waiting for an answer [x2]
If you says he's real than why can't he hear? [x4]

There's something more, then what you want it to be
Theres's something more, than what
you said it would be
You take thinner minds mending them
The way you please,
How can i find comfort in a god
That judges me

Get on your fucking knees
Or burn in hell [x2]

This is what they teach your children
They listen and worship your god

This is not the way to worship
To consume the mind of our youth
If he died for your sins
Where the fuck is he now? [x4]
Where the fuck is he now?

    My Interpretation

The lyrics are about the proof of God. If he's so real, where is he? And how there hasn't been much real proof of him. And how we teach our children to worship him, even though we don't even know for sure if he's even real. And if he is real, where the fuck is he now? Where's this second coming?

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
